I've been spending the last several months researching the internet, and DPR specifically, in preparation for an upgrade to a new camera system, and yes, since the E-M5 was on my short list, this is something that concerns me.

Personally, I'd rather have a fully articulated rear view screen, and so the new GH3 (or the older GH2) is quite appealing, but I was still seriously considering the E-M5 for it's IBIS and beautiful sensor output.

Is this a serious issue or only cosmetic?  I don't know, and I doubt anybody here does either, and that's really the point.  Since this is really just now coming to light it's hard to predict how it will play out, but when I'm making my lists of pros and cons for each camera I'm considering for purchase, this will certainly be an item on the con side for the E-M5.

I know that no camera is perfect, and I don't expect or demand perfection, but that usually relates to feature set, ergonomics, quirks, etc......... not manufacturing or design defects.

Just my 2 cents as somebody who is actively in the market for a new camera.
