That's a pretty subtle distinction in terms of making pictures. Photography is an inherently visual medium - if backgrounds look more blurred, then in a very real sense they are more blurred.

Ah, who can win against logic like that!  Language is an inherently communicative medium - if an underlying implication appears to be true, then in a very real sense it is true.
