True it isn't affecting the functionality of the camera, but who wants to know that their thousand dollar camera has a defect? Maybe it's not worth to fix it, but for potential buyers this is a disaster for olympus. Who's going to think about buying an em5 when they know it's going to crack. You know why the panasonic 200mm is so cheap or no one is buying their 14-42 x lenses. People do do ther research these days when buying things.
