Definitely not a D90... it won't meter with older, manual lenses.

My recommendation would be the d2h. Much better battery performance than the D200, and about the same price ($400-500). Or better yet, D2x, D300 or D7000 for about twice that amount.

They all work great in oldschool use, with manual glass and all.

The D1 series fit the bill too, essentially digital F5s, and they cost next to nothing. The only downside is the awful NiMH battery. Also, the D1 and D1h only resolve about as much detail as cheap, consumer 35mm negative film of equivalent ISO (just under 3mp).
