The paper size issues are the ones I've had most direct queries about since writing the review, and I have to say that I can't see any obvious reasons for keeping, for example, the 35mm margin with art papers.
If you can go to the trouble of designing an all new ink and paper feed system, then I have difficulty in not seeing some 'features' as deliberate design choices.
As I said, these are not problems for many users, where the excellent print quality does the job.
I noticed the red river notes on ink usage mentioned the accuracy of the Canon ink level indicators. This seems a general problem - the first time I saw this on an iPF6100, I was quite concerned at the apparently rapid ink decline. I've not had a test of the new iPF6400 yet, but I'm not expecting any change.
