- Micro four thirds body able to work correctly with 4/3 lenses equals: existing 4/3 lenses not becoming useless in the future.

- New 4/3 lenses able to focus correctly on existing and future Micro Four Thirds bodies equals: existing 4/3 lenses not becoming useless in the future and FUTURE development of more 4/3 lenses, for owners of both types of bodies who care about optical performance, not weight and size.

To put it simply - IF Olympus ever decides to put into the market a line of m43 lenses respecting the philosophy of current 4/3 HG and SHG lenses - they might as well make them 4/3 ones, so they can work on both types of bodies, given that there will be a weight and size penalty which would physically put them in 4/3 territory anyway.

That's the sort of generalization which works only for one self, but is otherwise simply imposed by the current m43 lens crop

They use primes when they mean serious things because they have no serious zooms to do serious things with

As far as I'm concerned, I won't let my shooting habits become function of what's commercially available.
