Upgrade from 7d

I'm looking to upgrade from a 7d. I mainly shoot outdoor soccer with a 70-200 2.8II and am sick of all the soft results. I like the extra reach of the crop sensor, but I'm really just looking for the best results. Is the 1D MKIV the best way to go?
