Google for "Lee filter", get a "Full CTO", or a set of CTO filters with different strengths. Put one in front of your flashgun. Adjust the camera WB to around 2700K to 3000K. This will get the flash near enough to the ambient light temperature to avoid the odd color cast. It will make WB adjustments easier, too.
