X100 Auto Focus Frame

Doing very well now with my X100 thanks to all your help.

Considering auto focus is contrast detection what would be the the size of the focus frame selected that would be best? 'is bigger better'? Forget macro as it is not my thing with this camera, I assume the smaller one would be better for that sort of thing.
