They don't release screen protectors for months after the camera is out!  Most shooters who deal with rugged conditions like to use a protector on their screens.  Nothing worse then having a scratched up screen that you cant fix.  The 20$ is great cheap insurance.. except.. It is not available!  Had the same darn issue with the a77 and now the a99.

I'm sitting here as I type hacking up a iphone screen protector to just have.. something!  What a waste.  Then you start thinking.. well what if the adhesion damages the sony screen, etc.

I really wish sometimes that they had a proper project management procedure in place.  Items like this should be released in tandem with protective gear or HEY, people are paying three thousand bucks maybe you could throw it in instead of soaking them for 20$ for a shred of plastic.  Nikon does.  Still prefer sony but it is irritating as all heck.
