Super Telephoto versus a Telescope for Lunar/Planetary Photography

Thanks for the kind words. The funny thing is, what I'm really looking at is a ST refractor. I can't just wheel the thing out into the backyard where I am, so I've to take it somewhere far away. And I know anything bigger than a CG5 (I have the LXD75) isn't going to get taken out much, which limits the OTA. Not quite grab and go, but close.

A huge light bucket Dob is awfully tempting -- but realistically it would see hardly any use.
