PSP X5 & Nik Silver Efex?

Anyone had success getting PSP X5 to use Nik Silver Efex 2? I just started using PSP and saw it had Nik Colour Efex bundled into it. Tried the Silver Efex free demo and can now see it in PSP's NIK plugin list. It seems to launch...but no image loads into it...and no buttons/menus etc. I can mouse over the blackness and get tooltip pop-ups etc...but that's it. Fumbled onto the exit without applying button and got back to psp witout issue.
Thoughts?
