Am I just spoiled?

Just purchased a new powershot S100 during a black friday sale!!  I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews regarding image quality variation between units.

I think at 100% zoom my images look a lot noisier than they should be given all that I've read about this camera.

Am I just spoiled by DSLR pics or do these look noisier than they should be at ISO 80?  I'm not sure yet if I should return the camera.

Thanks in advance for any help.
