Which interestingly enough is a bit of a self referencing work of art in terms of the photograph you posted. It isn't crap because it worked very well for your purposes of demonstrating that just because an image isn't what you like doesn't mean it is not good photography.

We see that repeatedly in most forum discussions of photographs, and it is a gross impediment to many people's ability to understand what makes a photograph good.

On my first look at that image, I couldn't see anything that I liked about it, and was kind of left wondering "What was his point?" That is a lot different than "crap", and when that comment was posted I realized that it came from essentially to same feeling that I had about the image, but it was also channeled through excessive arrogance and this idea, as you have recognized very well, that people mistake "I like" for "good photograpy".

However, it is an interesting shot. I notice the bird has bands on it's legs, and would be interested in anyone can explain what they mean.

I would say the message is for you apaflo and you should be able to read it well and clear.

Can you read it or do you want some help ....

Ant.

Ant... What kind of photography were you doing 50 years ago?

I'd be very interested in "some help". Even old guys with gray whisker learn from others. Of course for you the possible benefit is that in trying to explain it you might even understand it. And if that continues not to be the case, someone with more experience or insight might just chip in with even more help.

I asked my son why is that intelligence doesn't increase with age. He said its because they were born stupid.

I dont think I can help you and and am surprised that you'd ask ...you are much too closed minded. Which is funny when you are then always defending that odd pic of a small truck in the middle of nowhere, a safari pic is it ...??

You want to join him in his discussion then you can talk to me directly. If you want to talk to me directly then I'll just make sure that you know I'm up for it. I'm up for it.

Ant.
