Thanks for all the info Sailor Blue! Yeah, when I know I'm going to cut out the background I usually use the light or medium gray seamless. I found that white is just too reflective and you're right.... it really gives problems with subject's contrast. So I've been using the gray and just overlighting it about one stop. But then I started talking to people about the green screen and they're telling me it's lots less time consuming. But to be honest in most cases it takes no time at all to remove backgrounds with CS6. Just selecting the background and then masking it and refine the edges. The only time I run into problems is when it's a blonde with thin hair and stragely hairs. I have a job coming up with a bunch of kids where I have to cut out the background so I figured green screen was the way to go but now I'm starting to give that a second thought...
