Would you buy an X100 now?

Hum...

Can you even get the X-E1 before your vacation?   Most places are reporting a waiting period due to shortages.

Well, I suppose it all depends on what your future plans are going to be...    Are you just looking at getting a do everything camera and be content with that?    If so, then the X-e1 and the 18-55 Zoom might just perfectly fit your needs.     The X-E1 would also support you if/when you wanted to expand your system into other lens choices.   And of course all of the Fujinon glass that fits the X-E1 will be compatible in the future for new X-Mount cameras from Fujifilm..

On the other hand, there is a certain charm that the X100 has that is hard to describe yet exerts a tug on most photographers..    It's a capable camera in almost ever respect and would be a lovely tool to have for vacation photo's and such..

I own the XPro-1 so I am not interested in the X-E1... However, I am greatly interested in the X100 now and am just waiting to see if an X200 may be in the making..
