OM-D vs. Canon 50D
I have used my OM-D (and previous micro 4/3 cameras) almost exclusively since Oct 2009 when I got a GF1. I like the size/weight advantage over my Canon 50D, especially when walking all day with my gear. I am going on a trip through West Texas in January where I will mostly be working from my car, so weight and size are not as a big factor. Nevertheless, I am still considering leaving the DSLR at home since my subjective impression has been that ISO-for-ISO, the OM-D files have been as good or better than the Canon 50D files regarding dynamic range and noise despite the smaller sensor. I have comparable focal length lenses available, so that is not an issue.
Any thoughts regarding the image quality of the smaller (but newer) OM-D sensor compared to the larger (but older technology) Canon 50D sensor?
