I wasn't telling anyone that they need to try to do exactly what I am interested in.

You obviously missed the entire point of my posting. But let me sum it up for you. If you are not interested in photographing models, then by all means, you should not be doing that whatsoever. You should ​only ​be building a body of work based on what interests you. If you want to be a landscape photographer then the last thing you should be doing is photographing models. It might also help you to not get so snippy when you could learn some things.
