RX100 Concert Photos - The Birthday Massacre
Nov 28, 2012

I've pretty much reached the conclusion the best set-up for concert photography is shutter priority at 1/100 sec or 1/80 sec and auto ISO limited to 3200 or below. Then depending on lighting and composition, change metering and focus with spot being the usual setting.

What's the argument against this? Seems that in a low light situation, the limiting factor is going to be running a minimum shutter speed and hoping that the subject isn't moving too fast to cause blur. If that can be achieved, hopefully the ISO comes down.

For the RX100, you have to get close due to limited zoom and it compromising the light gathering of the camera.

Here's a few from this past weekend, all shutter priority. The next night I saw this group again and tried using 1/60 sec with very limited success.
