APS-C NEX6 for light travel kit? Please advise.

Greetings
I am currently using as my travel kit, Panny MFT cameras but want to move to APS-C for better IQ and don't really like the Panny colours OOC. Jpeg shooter mostly. Just a holiday and family snapper, not a professional eggnog.
I have a RX100, and while I really like the compact size, IQ and feature effects from the camera, I'd like to add an APS-C -NEX to my travel kit.
I'm considering NEX6.
So, thinking of the NEX6 because of the dials modes, and EVF. Don't really like the Tri-Navi on NEX7. Sorry, NEX7 shooters.
Is the NEX6 much improved over the NEX5n? I could save some $$$ with NEX5n.
When on holiday, I mostly shoot on the wide to normal zoom FL What lens (lenses) would you recommend to begin with? 24mm prime, general zoom or ?
Since I have a tremor in my hands and need AF, and also have vision issues, so manual focus lenses would not work for me.
Thank you for suggestions, and recommendations. I really don't know much about the NEX system, but really like my Sony RX100 so far.
