ETTR is only good for iso 100, and it is about exposing the sensor to more light. raising iso isnt exposing, it is increasing amplification.

thus for your purpose, stay with camera iso. in fact I would use HTP which under amplifies by 1 stop, at high iso it does not degrade IQ but preserves highlight.

Thanks for your input.  I do believe however that the principles of ETTR should apply no matter what the ISO as it is about maximising the signal to noise ratio at the sensor.  Unless I am missing something inn my understanding!!!
