A99 firmware due in a few weeks?

Quoted from one of the managers at the Sony Store that I bought my A99 from.

I called earlier this evening expressing my disappointment that my A99 side AF points back focuses, asking him if its a common thing.  He said the store sold 12 of them already and no one had any issues.

Then again, I wonder how many of those 12 are professional photographers who scrutinize the cameras AF for proper function?

He concluded that I should hang on to it for a few weeks because "Sony is releasing a firmware soon."

Possible Sony is coming out with a firmware soon?  Or just rubbish to get me off the phone? LOL.
