A77 video performance

The reason i want the a77 is because my a55 video with IS on only gives me 6-8 minutes of video. I shoot 50/50 pix/video mostly of family. I dont have the $ for the hot $1,098 sale. Amazon has the a77 12 months no interest. I could do $100/mth. I looked at the forum comments here and I googled video perf. 90% of the comments seem to be negative. typical comments were standalone camcorder shoots better at half the price. Anyone know of some video reviews that make the positive case for a77 video??? Thanks!!!
