Fed up with Canon How about Metz?

I don't want to start a flame war, but inconsistent flash was one of the reasons we moved away from Canon. When we shot Canon, we were constantly riding the FEC to try and get what we wanted. I don't do that anymore. I suspect that a Metz flash isn't going to be any better because the camera is the device still doing the metering.
