Lightroom really depletes the need for PS

I really only use Photoshop now for local micro contrast adjustments and 'polishing' the occasional image.

Layers of course are powerful, but I find most images now I can get 95% done in Lightroom with an automated flow.

Otherwise, get a Student edition.
