How to justify the expense of Photoshop

Some more thoughts about photoshop: It's fun to learn all the powerful and creative things it can do to enhance photography.  As others have said, PE will do most things a skilled photographer needs to post-process images; Photoshop can take your work to another level.   And if you can afford it, then why not expand your skills while having fun?  But you will need help learning it.  I have used lynda.com videos in the past, as well as taken live workshops because the learning curve, as others have said, is quite steep.  The other thing you should know, if you are like me, if you don't use the knowledge frequently, you will forget how to do certain things and find yourself reading and watching videos multiple times - use it or lose it as they say.  Let us know what you decide.
