LTF Excellent, Bombproof, Well Made long-life USB Hub

Hey, does such an animal exist?  

The cheapie USB hub I had with it's own non-detachable line-in to the USB plug to my laptop gave out after a few weeks.

Searching really doesn't show the durability of a nicely made, long life USB hub. If you guys know of one, please post for future reference. I don't want to keep buying these over and over. Once should do it I guess paying more up front might be the way to go, is that your experience? What is  your experience?

I did see one among thousands listed on amazon, having a detachable line out and in to the USP port of the laptop. I guess if anything breaks it's that flexible wire. On mine that non-detachable wire probably went bad.
