Right update...

Considering my novice status and my limited funds I decided to browse fleabay and bought the following for UNDER £20 including postage!!!!

CROSS SCREEN FILTER 52MM NO DEFECTS CREATES A STAR EFFECT IDEAL JEWELLERY ETC!

HOYA 52MM 82 B SLIGHTLY INCREASE COLOUR TEMPERATURE FOR COLOUR/TONAL BALANCE

HOYA 52MM Y (K2) FILTER B&W PHOTOGRAPHY: ENHANCES CONTRAST BETWEEN SKY & CLOUDS!

52MM SOFT FILTER : A NICE FILTER FOR PORTRAITS AND LANDSCAPES ETC.

PALLAS 52MM SKYLIGHT 1A FILTER PROTECTS YOUR LENS AND REDUCES HAZE

PHOTAX 52 MM POLARISER FILTER : REMOVES UNWANTED REFLECTIONS

HOYA 52MM 81B SLIGHTLY REDUCES COLOUR TEMPERATURE FOR COLOUR/TONAL BALANCE

I can always upgrade to a more expensive CPL but to spend £40+ one a single filter at this stage I thought no as I need a tripod, a bag, memory card first!!!!

I selected the other lens' for a bit of fun and learning purposes.

Check that the Photax polarisr is CPL when it comes: put it on the lens and see if you get reliable AF.
