Best MILC for Shooting Figure Skating?

Say, is she thinking about shooting the events that she is competing in? To me that sounds dubious. Or is she going to just shoot the lower levels or something? I compete in an organized amateur system. On competition days I carry around a little camera and shoot some for fun, but there's no way I could try to actually document the event at a professional level and keep my head in the contest.
