NEX cameras and legacy lenses

Not the answer I was hoping to hear!

I am expecting my Sony NEX-6, and was hoping that it would behave like my nikon d700 in that respect... Oh well. Size and weight were the predominant reasons for venturing into the NEX series.

I just hope that at least up to ISO 1600 there won't be much of a difference in picture quality.  A long time ago I had a Lumix G (or whatever the first generation of that series was), and found that even ISO 800 wasn't good to my eyes.
