I also see no reason why these lenses wouldn't work. I don't believe the NEX-5 does in-camera lens corrections for JPG, so one caveat is that to get these lenses corrected (more important for the 10-18mm) you'd need to shoot RAW and use software that applies lens corrections to the RAW.
