I also sigh when I think of the nikon 700. Will the D600 match it ? It is smaller and lighter I think, so that goes in it´s favour

Suppose I have to wait some time before I can afford it (at least in my ethical way when spending money in hobbies), and therefore hope the D600 will still be in market.

Of course it is easier to have shallow DOF with specific tools like a Nikon 85 1.8 (afs) even with the humble D5100. Well at least in my opinion.
