Considering the Sony DT 16-50mm F/2.8 SSM lens.

I want a reasonably fast zoom lens and the 16-50mm is a perfect range for me.  What concerns me about this lens is the color fringing I read about.  Supposedly you can correct that in RAW but I'm using Lightroom 3 and I don't see a profile for that lens in the drop down menu.

What is your experience with this lens? I do a lot of low light shooting and I understand this is a pretty good lens for that as well.  I'll probably use this for mostly street type photography.
