Portrait Lens Choice
Nov 26, 2012

I need the expertise of you folks who are experienced with multiple Pentax lenses.  I am deciding between either one of the limiteds (70 or 77) or the 50-135 DA* for a portrait lens.  I know there are many variables - but which of these will generally produce the best combination of IQ and bokeh?

The DA 50-135 is currently on a special discount price at B&H, so that makes my question a bit more pressing as I don't want to miss that price - if that's the route I go.  I should mention that I have the 100 macro WR lens - so I do have a lens in the range of those considered as portrait lenses, but I suspect there are better options for portraiture than the macro lens.

Thanks for your help.
