Wedding Pro ? for those over 60

Not over 60 [59]. When I was younger I was a full time photographer in a small town working for my Father in his studio. In addition to my father's studio there were 2 other well established studios.

There was not enough business in the town for my father to keep me full time nor was there any way I would compete with him. I realized I could not remain in town and be a full time photographer so went into other methods of earning income.

I have never given up on my first love; however, and still shoot weddings now and then as either primary or back-up and other things as I have time [and desire]. And NO I amd not taking any food off of any full time photographers.

I have noticed only 1 problem [for me] that is limited to weddings and that is when shooting long weddings and increasingly shorter ones. That is Vertical shots are very painful after the first dozen or so, due to an injury that occured 18 years ago and was susposed to my career within 2 years. The good news is the doctor  was at least premature in his estimates.

Although that won't help either of you; perhaps the following may; in addition to PenguinPhotoCo's fitness and of course a medical checkup, it might be an excellent idea to consider shoes like Clarks and others that give proper support and cushioning, along with considering inserts that are designed for your feet [Dr. Scholls and walkfit or even consider professionally fitted inserts by a podiatrist]. It is amazing the amount of foot, leg, and lower back pain they can reduce or eliminate in many incidences and are well worth the costs.

One last thought and that is there are a few really good joint supplements that seem to work to a greater or lessor degree depending on the cause of the pain.

PS consider seeing a podiatrist and/or a chiropractor in addition to your fmd. In my case the chiropractor has been very important.
