E-M5 tripod socket damage

Well, I have a QR plate on my camera 24/7 (it clears the battery cover). I found that it allows me a much better hand grip yet does not add any size worth a damn and stops the problem of overworking the thread and making it loose over time... which in turn leads to needing more tightening and putting even more pressure on the female socket.
