pictures of hockey players

Hi All,

I am the current owner of a Sony H2.  I have had the camera for a few years and my needs have changed.  Currently I am the proud owner of three hockey players.  I need a camera that takes good photos of moving objects in terrible (indoor rink) light.   I am not opposed to going DSLR but only if that is the only way to get what I want.  I am not in a big hurry to lug a big camera bag.  Suggestions?
