Here are 2 examples of the moon one shot with Nikor 70-200mm f2.8 with TC-20E III and one taken with a 6" schmidt cassegrain reflector - just for illustration purposes.

Focusing is very difficult with the zoom lens. The zoom shot is cropped much more than the telescope shot.
