He said using mirrorless with a focal length longer than 100mm or the 200 mm equal may not get great results if you need longer. Had lots of issues even with the Olympus from poor lens hood to construction. Shooting video was poor because its a slow lens too. I'm not transcribing the video is not hard to find.
I saw all that. I saw nothing wrong with him holding such opinions ... they are certainly valid enough. He also offered that your experience might be different. Which I already wrote. The quote is not hard to find

If GH-3 and electronic shutter make a difference I'll decide then. If the return period will run out before GH-3 arrives I'm not taking a chance on keeping the lens for a "what if" $500 is still a lot of money to make a guess, not doing that.
Sounds like you should send it back and get another when the time comes so you have time to evaluate. Or did you really not think of that?
