By the way, the main difference in rendering details between cameras like the DP2m on the one side and X-E1 or E-M5 (both incredibly close to each other) on the other side is not that you spot more fine structures, but that those fine structures show better definition/microcontrast on the Merrill. It's the smallest parts still standing out and having high contrast that are mushed together on the Bayer sensors. Texture on wood, pores on skin, blades of gras are all there on the Bayer-cams, but are hardly visible without pushing local contrast quite a bit which can cause other problems. So as long as those fine structures aren't deleted/averaged by reducing picture size, those differences in microcontrast will also be visible, disregarding picture size itself.

By the way, in this regard Fuji's X-Transsensor doesn't behave any different from E-M5's traditional layout, except for the lack of moiré.
