Problem with D800 Image Review while using Remote Timer

I am using a Pro Master SystemPRO Timer Remote on my Nikon D800, and am having a problem with the camera's Image Review capability while the remote timer is connected.

The Remote Timer is composed of two separate pieces: (1) the remote cable, and (2) the Remote Timer itself.

When I connect the remote cable to my Nikon D800's 10 pin connector without the Remote Timer connected, the camera's image review functions properly.  When I then connect the Remote Timer to the remote cable, the camera's image review capability does not work. The Remote Tiimer does work, though.

Any thoughts as to why the camera's image review will not work while the Remote Timer is connected?
