was a nearly monochrome image, but not necessarily gray, so subtle shades of blue or green fit nicely.  I admit my orchid is pushing it a bit, but it is monochrome (lit by a single red laser pointer)

But as with any of these challenges, if you don't think a shot fits the theme, you don't have to vote for it.   I won't be offended.
