Why I'm not waiting for a D400

If Sony were to bring out a medium range, 2.8 lens in the next couple of years - something like a 105 or, probably better still a 150 then I'd be closer to agreeing, but with reservations. At the moment there's a real divide, as far as I'm concerned, between what my NEX 5n can do and what my D300 can do. They're more complementary than competing. The D7000 can offer things in terms of the sensor that the D300 can't, so I'd be more than happy to buy a D400 with a sensor even 20% better than the D7000 but with D400 style features.

Sorry if I'm covering things that have been said - I've skimmed the previous responses. I still think they're different cameras for different things at this point and for the forseeable future - 2 to 3 years from now.
