If you are right, then 6D can keep the center one only and remove the rest

How about Canon change the other 10 sensors to cross type and put back the joystick, then I will pre order 6D now?
I guess you know that the flash sync speed on the 6D sucks big too. Does Canon have a good excuse to put the slowest sync speed in the world on the newest and have not released FF camera? If this is not insane, what is?

A focus point isn't inherently better just because it's a cross type sensor. The center AF point on the 6D though is something quite special. It focuses down to moonlight light levels, at light levels full 3.5 EV less than the T4i - as it is sensible for a low light monster that Canon has made of the 6D.
