Lack of photogs

One answer: many of the top posters have no real interest (not to mention talent) in photography. To be sure, some of them do. But there are too many that are too in love with their post count and the sound of their own fingers tapping.

Before it went down in a negative loop I used to like the 4/3 forum, because there were some good photogs sharing their advice. There were also gearheads, and among them the Equivalence gang trying to destroy 4/3.

The problem here, after the amazing bad will of the moderators, is that most users seem to have no notion or wish to learn photog. They are just shoppers, with very poor schooling, or so it seems. Political correctness, bullying, divisiveness come next, but IMHO it can all go under terminal consumersim.

Perhaps when most doubters will have jumped ship there will be some natural selection, leaving a small group of good photogs. Then the forum will be saved, but in the meanwhile I try to make myself scarce.

Most believe that they will be saved by a new camera model but it is not so.
