NEX7 LCD blackout

A few weeks ago the LCD on my NEX7 stopped working. I couldn't access the menu or review photos. I could still use the viewfinder. So I took it in for a service in Sydney. Sony doesn't service their products here. The company that does is very poor to deal with. After 2 1/2 weeks of not hearing from them I went to see them. Now they have to send away for parts and it will be another week. Bought the camera at a Sony Store in Sydney so am covered by the warranty.--
Everyone is an expert on dpreview!
