Damn! Thought I tested -2 settings with ires! I remember these results, outside I actually get more smearing on grass. So much so that I thought I moved so I took more and got the same results. Its actually softer with ires on and the low -2 settings. But the sun is low and the lighting is dusk levels where I am right now. It doesn't like grass too often than not. Frustrating but the -2 settings still look the best to me.

OK I locked settings in manual mode and tried both with and without Iresolution turned on.  See below how the grass is smudged in a lot of places.  Yet the one without it turned on is not smudged.  Then overall the Ires shot is less clear.  I duplicated this on several images and noticed the shutter speed was different so decided to try manual mode to lock in the settings.  My back yard by the way!

Ires on, NR -2, Sharp -2

Ires off, NR-2, Sharp -2
