Why is this forum so depressing?

reading some of the replies in this thread confirms my decision. I suspect I won't be away forever but a break is at place. I'm tired of the way DPR handle the situation with embedded images (and what is a photo forum with no decent way to post an image?), their poor moderating and on top of all that the tone of the forum.
