G12 $299 at B&H

Thanks for your input! The more I read about the G12 I find it may fit my wants and needs in a compact camera, I too wish for the brighter LCD of the G15, but thats the way things go, if it had this or that, the magic word is "IF" but it doesn't so I'll make the better of it.

I'm not giving up on SLRs I'm just reducing the amount of time I'm using them. Actually I'm starting to use my film camera more, I have two and started using them for various subjects.

But for a day to day quick carry camera I'm liking the G12, it seems to have enough operator controls to allow me to custom fit it to my liking.
