Is Nikon happy to be 2nd to Canon?

And that's sort of the point.  Starting with film (6006, N70) and moving up through digital (d40, d90) I've always been nikon. Along the way, I've made 2 or 3 big (for me) nikon purchases.  Now I'm on the cusp of my 4th and it's not an easy decision like it was the first 3 times.  Time will tell but I'm reading everything I can because I don't personally know anyone who's using either the d800 or the 5D Mark III.
